Sheffield University Conservation Volunteers are the working committee of Sheffield Students' Union - we are committed to doing regular conservation work with local organisations. We aim to maintain and improve the greenspaces in Sheffield and in the surrounding peak district through work with environmental organisations such as the National Trust and The Peak District Rangers.

As we are a voluntary organisation there are no membership or sign-up fees - so you can help as little or as much as you want at no cost! Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in our events by simply emailing us in advance.
We have been around for 40 years - and are still going strong! Unlike the other working committees we don't have an office, instead we have a secret tool shed where we keep all our equipment. Generations of conservationists have left their mark there in the form of vintage kettles, custom-built furniture, and name graffiti!
We are now also proud to be a part of the UoS 'Nature Network', a collaborative effort to bring together members from many societies. You can find out more here.
You can join us on weekly tasks, regular socials and infamous biannual residential trips! Keep in touch for details on all these events and more
